I have encountered the following symptoms when I was using Windows based Operating System dated back in year 2005, just before the official announcement released of Vista. I have gone thru Win3.1, Win95, Win98, WinMe and WinXP. It is Year 2010 now. Should I just keep move on?
Problem 1
System rebooted by itself automatically, sometimes randomly without user intervention. This is common if your last-performed OS installation is more than a year ago. Registry goes hair-weir. Wait.. Don't pull off your hair first.
Problem 2
Some application files especially ends with .exe is getting smaller and smaller, at the end of the day, the file size completely corrupted and unrecognized. System restore is malfunction and Add/Remove Programs lost its way.
Problem 3
Toggle between tasks often occupied paging memory and it lags perhaps getting slower and non-erasable, sometimes bugs prompted out as in the dead-blue-screen. You are in deep trouble.
OS restoration and OS reinstallation become my routine service and maintenance job whenever I hit this idiot problem listed above. What to do if I insist to use it as my favorite OS? I really have to recalculate the benefit-cost ratio as far as I know labor is cheap. But, time-spent is not worthwhile thou if I can't go back to my work. Guess what? Safe-mode possibly give you a time-break. But, let me remind you, 3-out-of-8 outbreaks it works without network-ability. Move on if you are not feeling well..
